What is Personal Training:

✓ Personal Training is provided via a number of methods to ensure members have the opportunity to receive the best possible service at a price they can afford it.

✓ One to one sessions 60 min sessions booked and paid for in advance at reception.

✓ Team Training: 60 minutes personal training in a small group of 3 to 5 participants

✓ The sessions have a structure but allow each trainer to make it their own, using exercises to best meet the needs of the group and fulfill the objective of the session.

Personal Training Standards:

Always be guided by the best interests of the client.

✓ The primary responsibility of a personal trainer is the safety, health and well-being of the client; Do not abdicate this responsibility for your own benefit, personal benefit, or financial gain.

✓ Recommend products or services only if they will benefit the customer’s health and well-being, not because they will benefit you financially or professionally.

✓ If recommending products or services will lead to financial gain for you or the employer, beware of the need to disclose it to the employer.

✓ Base the number of training sessions on the client’s needs, not your financial requirements or achieving your goals.

RELATIONSHIP BUILDING – THE ART OF PERSONAL TRAINING:

✓ The coach’s job to pick up the pearls of the mind. The coach must be able to listen carefully, and ask subtly to extract the true meaning behind why the client wants coaching. By achieving this, the situation is win-win – the client feels heard and trusts the coach, and the coach feels a sense of responsibility to   help the client in any way possible to achieve the desired changes. A professional relationship is formed.

✓ First, what are you looking for?
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the answer the
customer is giving you is a physical goal or an underlying emotional reason.
